Ellie and I went to the State Fair on Tuesday. We spent nine hours there, and Ellie walked the whole time! We hit all the barns, Little Farm Hands, Tornado Alley, Ye Olde Mill Ride, the Sky Ride, the DNR fire tower, Machinery Hill, and lots of shows. Ellie's favorites were the BMX bikers and a clogging show. She is a talented little clog dancer!
Other than her inability to pay for me, Ellie has become my favorite person to go with to the fair. She's up for anything! Okay, she's a little too up for Machinery Hill for my taste, but that's not a big deal.

i definitely would have been up with Ellie for Machinery Hill!! and i hear there is a SAWEET mustang there!
I cannot believe how much Ellie looks like you!! Reminds me so much of you as a little girl! Is she a little know it all like you were? hehehe :) I can just picture her curled up in a corner somewhere surrounded by books.

It looks like Ellie will be right up there with going to the fair with Grandma Mahle:)
Sounds like you need to start coaching Ellie to "get a job." Not only would she be able to affor to bring you places, but she could support her grandparents in the style to which they would like to become accustomed.
