I gave one of the parents a piece of the (already sliced) cake and he asked me if the kids frosted it at the party! Backpedaling his way out of his innocent question, he tried to soften it by saying, "It's just that's how it looks when my kids frost things!"
Maija, I've never heard the freezing hint before (see comment on last post). If I get myself into this situation again, I'll try it. Otherwise, I think I plan on buying a cake next year! Thank goodness I got to cover my frosting mistakes with colored sugar!
