Cute Kid Stories

Elizabeth proudly packed her own money into a purse to take to garage sales today. When we got there, I found out that she'd thought 12 cents would be plenty of money! I gave her $2.00 to spend as she wished. She ended up only spending half. She told us that she's saving the other dollar to buy a house.

While driving, Elizabeth read the word roofing aloud from an ad and asked what it meant. I assumed that she knew and was just making conversation, so I answered, "Well, what do you think roofing means?" "Well," she answered thoughtfully, "when I think of roofing I think of a dog going, 'Roof! Roof!' And that's why I can't figure out why that sign said roofing!"

Amelie doesn't say anything, of course, but she has learned to give the sweetest kisses. I hold her and ask, "Kisses for Mama?" She leans in right to my mouth and gives me kisses. I do it all day long!

Okay, now I have to come over for a kiss. And I liked the taller than a 100-year-old story!
