Yesterday Elizabeth decided that if she put a certain plant in water, it would turn into bread. So last night we left a cup of water out with plant matter floating around in it to await a delicious bread breakfast this morning.
Needless to say, the plant did not turn into bread. "You can throw away my experiment, Daddy," Elizabeth said this morning. "It didn't turn into bread."
Isaac asked why she thought that plant would turn into bread.
"It looked like farm weeds - I mean, grains!"
