Since neither Isaac nor I swears, I was surprised to overhear Elizabeth walking around the house exclaiming a word in a swear-word-type voice. After a while, I discovered she was saying, "Hypocrite! Hypocrite!"

When Elizabeth realized I was listening, she looked up with alarm and asked, "Mama, is it okay to say 'hypocrite?'"

I guess the Bible stories we read of Jesus talking to the Pharisees are sinking in!
