Neat God Moments

In our children's ministry at church, we've been keeping our eyes open for "God moments" and I had two today. First, before preschool this morning, I explained to Ellie that I didn't think her friend Josie would be there today because I thought she was on vacation. Ellie immediately said, "Oh, we should pray for her vacation" and proceeded to do so.

Then at preschool (Josie was there; I was wrong), we happened to be studying weather today while it was raining outside. My main point was that we don't have to be scared in bad weather, because Jesus is more powerful than storms. We talked about Jesus calming the storm, praying for comfort, and the verse, "When I am afraid, I will trust in You." After a little while, we heard a noise that sounded like thunder, and Josie said, "Let's pray about the storm." So she prayed, then I prayed, then several more kids joined in and prayed out loud for the class. How clever of God to provide us that little prompt!
