It's been a little crazy around here, so I see it's been more than a week again since I posted. A large part of the craziness was me getting ready for a three-night weekend away with the girls at a cabin in Wisconsin.
I was worried about leaving Amelie for so long, as I've never left her before for an overnight. I actually regretted committing to the trip, and tortured poor Isaac by reminding him to brush the girls' teeth, fasten the carseats correctly, and give Elizabeth her antibiotics for her ear infection. As if he wouldn't do those things!
However, now that I have returned from three full days of bliss, scrapbooking, time with God, and time with friends, I can happily say that the trip was well worth the time away from my babies! Isaac was a great daddy and proudly told me wonderful details like exactly how much broccoli Amelie ate on which days. Amelie and Elizabeth are happy and healthy and still love me. I have 23 more scrapbooking spreads completed. I spent serious time in God's Word and prayer. I slept as late as I wanted in the mornings (that may have been the best part). I even went for a run in the gorgeous snowy woods. Ahhh!
I came home filled up and eager to embrace my babies and my husband again. Thanks, God and Isaac, for the fantastic time away!
