Mother's Day

As I mentioned earlier, we spent Mother's Day with Isaac's family in Faribault. They sure have an idyllic place for children! The girls had a great time with the two horses, cats, German shepherd, Funcle Nathaniel, Oma and Opa, and the huge trampoline.

Amelie got to ride a horse with Oma, but Elizabeth didn't care to this time.

Amelie preferred feeding the horses to riding, though. She loved scooping up handfuls of grain and letting the horses lick her hands. You can't see in the picture, but she's laughing.

Isaac's present to his mother was a few hours of manual labor. They let him off pretty easy and had him fill in a deep hole with a huge pile of muddy clay. After watching him work for a while, I felt guilty and joined in. This picture is of Nathaniel's bare feet stomping down the clay!

This is me after my dear husband accidently threw a shovelful of mud at my face and arm. He's lucky I love him so much!

Every time we go down there, I wonder why we don't go more often!
