"I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." Acts 20:24

Parade Season
Just about everyone who knows me knows how much I love parades, so I'm thrilled that parade season is here. I'm obsessively early to every parade to get a good seat and parking spot, which means lots of waiting before the start. We've been bringing one of Elizabeth's friends with us to the parades, which is fun for Elizabeth and frees me up to concentrate on Amelie.
Amelie loves the snacks, the clapping along with the bands, waving at princesses and yelling "Hi!" Inexplicably, she loves people dressed as cartoon character, especially a chili pepper and giant parrot at the last parade, and chases them down the street until I retrieve her and drag her back to our spot. She grabs candy and sticks it into her mouth, wrapper and all. (I don't actually let her eat it!)
