It is so fun to see how Amelie's speech develops daily. At first, she just yelled out whatever nouns she knew whenever she saw them: "Woof!" "Truck!" "Di-deth!" (Elizabeth)
Then she moved on to two-word phrases, the most frequent being "up high" (because that's where all the good stuff is!) and "garage sale" (because Mommy likes those so much!). She would sprinkle in "go home" or "read book" or "black truck" too.
Now all of a sudden she's speaking in phrases: "My milk all gone, Mama" and "Eat snack please" and "Go Grandma's house" and "I run, Daddy" and "Grandpa come now." It is so much fun!
Elizabeth is currently on a kick where she draws pieces of candy onto paper and cuts them out so that she has her own paper candy collection. She was studying the contents of our candy drawer today, and Amelie was intently watching. Amelie piped up, "I eat candy, Mama?"
And because I was so proud of her developing speech, she did!
