"I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." Acts 20:24

Ice, Ice Baby
A common sight in our household lately is Isaac or I sitting on the couch with ice packs strapped to our legs with Ace bandages. We're not injured; we've just been training hard enough that we're treating sore spots proactively. Here's me after a five mile run.
The day after my ten-mile, Isaac ran a ten-mile. He finished 8 minutes faster than I did, but said his respect for me had grown after he slogged it out himself! Here is a picture of him icing his aching feet after that run.
The pan of ice water was far too tempting for little girls. The painful temperatures didn't bother Amelie a bit. She kept her feet in there for a long time, and only stopped when Isaac forbade her to keep dipping her fingers and licking off the foot water. Elizabeth had to be convinced to give it a try!
Have you noticed the common theme of no privacy for our recoveries? It's tough enough to get away for a run; the family is always eagerly waiting our returns!
