I wanted to take pictures of Elizabeth skating with Sydney, so I asked them to skate toward me while I skated backwards. 
That was a good idea, right? What could possibly happen?
I ran backwards into a snowdrift, sending my camera clattering across the ice.
Raise your hand if you saw that coming. Now, raise your hand if you saw that coming and didn't tell me. Maija? Arlie? Any of the kids skating toward me as I headed for disaster? No one? Thanks, guys. That's why we skate in a group: for safety!
The best part was that a lady standing out on her balcony overlooking the lake yelled out, "That was hilarious! I wish I had it on video so you could win Funniest Home Videos!" Good thing I don't have a lot of pride!
