We got to see Isaac's cousins from Illinois and their children last night. (Oh, if we could just handpick people and make them move closer to us!) This morning, they were still on Amelie's mind. "Mama, the Brittany from Grandma Loon's house was so nice!"
"Yes, she was so nice," I agreed. "What did you like about her?"
Wistfully, Amelie answered, "Giving her a hug." Who knew a hug could be so memorable?
Earlier yesterday, Amelie had been listening to me "talking" with baby Sam. We took turns saying, "Mmm. Ma. Mama. Mamamama. Muh..."
Finally, she chimed in, "Mama, I think him wants some M&Ms."
Elizabeth surprises us with her thoughts too. Last night she wondered about what would happen if the floor was made of pizza. She decided it would have to have a hard slice of cheese over the top so our feet wouldn't get cheesy, and we could slice off the hard cheese and lick out the pizza underneath. There would also be crystals on the wall with soup in them, so we could squeeze them open when we got tired of pizza.
