We went to our church's annual community block party this weekend, which was a ton of fun. Two really funny things happened while we were there. First, as soon as we arrived, one of Elizabeth's little friends ran up to us and generously offered, "I'll take care of Ellie if you and your husband want some time alone together." This girl is FIVE!
Second, we were watching a Stupid Human Tricks show on the stage. A skinny teenage boy went up and said that his trick was making himself look pregnant. He proceeded to pull up his shirt and did very well. I laughed, and said that I could do much better, except that no one wanted to see my stomach. The church elder we were talking to at the time decided to defend me, and politely said, "Oh, yes, they do!" The funny part was that he never realized the humor in what he said, and so he just kept repeating it while I laughed.
