Another Year Older

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. I woke up to a beautiful hand-made sign, hot waffles and sausages, and cold fruit smoothie. Then after church and teaching Sunday School, we spent the afternoon at my parents' house being plied with good food and my mom's famous homemade ice cream cake. Mom watched the girls while Dad and I got in a five-mile run. Isaac also did a five-mile run, but about 10 minutes faster than we did! I even got to play worship songs on my mom's piano and sing along with my family.

That evening we had dinner with our friends from our small group Bible study at church. We have the only small children in the group, so the kids get attention galore.

We got home, put the girls to bed, and finished the Sunday paper together. What a perfect day!

Sorry I completely spaced your birthday! So glad to hear it was a good one. May God overwhelm you in this new year of life with his goodness and blessings!
