Animals I've Spotted Lately

With all my running, I've gotten the privilege to see some pretty crazy people and their pets lately. Here are a few of my favorites:

• A lady walking around Snail Lake with two big dogs on leashes and a little dog in a baby sling on her front
• A man biking the Grande Rounds at the Mississippi River pulling a homemade wagon behind him - a plywood platform, a rope fence, and a big dog standing on alert
• A man walking around Como Lake holding hands with a chimpanzee - really! Wendy is my witness! - that was wearing a diaper and shorts

Aren't those great? I love seeing unusual things like that. In full disclosure while poking fun at people and their pets, I have to confess that when we got Misty a few months ago, I discovered in dismay that I baby-talk to cats. I made it 29 years without knowing that, and I think it would have been better if I never found it out!
