Busy Amelie Pictures

Amelie got to experience life with lots of kids when Isaac and I baby-sat his cousin's three children recently. She was much more interested in baby David than in the big girls' book.
She climbed on her changing table and secretly pulled out all the baby wipes.
She discovered an alligator bathrobe last night, wore it all evening, slept in it at night, and is now wearing it over her clothes. Here is Alligator Amelie taking care of all the babies.
Alligator Amelie enjoys taking pretend naps much more than taking real ones.
The girls have been going on lots of horse rides together since Elizabeth has gotten so into the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sometimes Elizabeth rides a couch pillow named Hasufel and Amelie rides a couch pillow named Arod. Other times Elizabeth is Shadowfax and allows Amelie to ride on her back.
Amelie also loves building towers. She works on building and ignores the little people blocks. Elizabeth at that age (and even now) is fascinated with the people and doesn't enjoy building very much.
We just had Elizabeth home from school for three days for conference prep and MEA, and had a great time. We didn't schedule much - just one overnight for Elizabeth at Grandma's house, a family run and bike ride, and a morning trip to the MN Zoo with friends - but Elizabeth had all the time she wanted for coloring, reading, making lists, and playing with Amelie. Amelie and I were both kind of sorry to see her go back to school this morning.
