On Sunday we squeezed in one last family bike ride/run along the Mississippi River, knowing it might be the last for the year. As Isaac ran ahead and set the pace with Amelie's stroller, I got the privilege of running next to Elizabeth's bike for almost six miles and hearing her muses along the way. My three favorites:
"I decided not to be a bike racer when I grow up because they don't say 'passing on your left' and that's rude not to say it."
"Do you know what I found out at recess? All the first-grade teachers' first names! Really!"
"Wouldn't it be cool if there was a station wagon so big that it could fit all the people of Rohan and all their weapons and then when Orcs came and attacked they could all fit in it and drive around and kill the Orcs?"
You can't make this stuff up, although I guess Elizabeth can!
