Pirate Party

Our friends Dan and Randi recently hosted a pirate-themed murder mystery dinner. Randi is absolutely THE best entertainer I know, and a fantastic cook as well. That's why it was so funny that they went all out with authenticity in the decorations and food. Please observe the drowned (plastic) rat in the vat of root beer. The food was almost all pickled and infested with plastic weevils and cockroaches. I have never seen so much uneaten food at Randi's house! Luckily, they made some delicious meat - and then made us eat with our fingers for authenticity.
Isaac wore an eyepatch. My character was a female dressing as a man, so I wore a mustache - and a hook.
The men looked like a rough bunch, except for the very genteel Austin, who turned out to be the murderer.
We women looked gorgeous, of course, but we couldn't stop laughing to take a serious picture. That may have had something to do with spit. Sorry, Shannon.
Our tradition is that the murderer must take a Walk of Shame around the neighborhood with two others of his choosing. Jen and I were the chosen ones. I much preferred walking around a strange neighborhood in the dark over being forced to walk around my own in the light of summer!
