Driving the Wildlife Loop in Custer State Park, we encountered a whole bunch of wild burros. They hang out by the side of the road hoping people will feed them. Since I had a bag of baby carrots packed for lunch that day, they loved us! Elizabeth adored them and had no fear.
Amelie loved them too, but couldn't quite master keeping her hand flat to feed them. She kept clutching the carrot with her fingers.
Dan and Isaac made me feed them. Isaac isn't very fast with the camera, so I had to do it a bunch. Like my expression?
I think the burros liked me more than I liked them!
Dan delighted in pulling up to burros and rolling down the window so the burros would stick their head in my window to visit me. I kept my seatbelt on and didn't climb into the backseat - I thought that showed great maturity!

I would've been in the backseat if you had chosen to join me, Allison.
