I'm due in two and a half weeks on September 26. Ellie was a week late, but we're really praying this one won't be! I am so ready to be done. It was sneakily clever of God to design pregnancy so that you actually look forward to and pray for labor! I actually don't think I'll be missing any more sleep once the baby is born - I feel like I'm up all the time anyway. I might as well be feeding a baby.
We have all the baby clothes/furniture/stuff brought up from the basement and cleaned. Since Ellie was born in June and this baby will be born in the fall, I was worried that I wouldn't have enough clothes in the 0-3 month size, but we're looking all right.
Almost everything survived the past 4 years in our musty basement. Our baby backpack was the only thing that got mildewed, and that washed up with bleach pretty well. The only other thing that didn't survive was the vibrating teether, but we won't need that for a while!
Ellie was pretty gentle on most of her things, but we tossed her diaper pail (smelly), baby washcloths (stained with prune juice), sippy cups (nasty), and changing table cover (we had bought it used, and it was pretty torn up). I broke down and bought a new changing table cover, but we'll still need the other stuff. Since this baby will be in colder weather, we need more 0-6 month socks and maybe a pair of those cute shoes that actually stay on. I'm don't think Ellie's old winter snowsuit will fit, but I won't worry about that yet!
So basically, we're in pretty good shape. Come, baby!
