I haven't posted much recently because we haven't been doing much. I've ended most of my commitments in preparation for the birth (although somehow I ended up subbing at preschool this morning!) and we've been just kind of hunkering down at home and soaking up this last "normal" time together. We've read a lot of books and played a lot of games and done a lot of cuddling. Oh, and walking to and from preschool three times a week seems to take up a lot of time too, even though it's a precious time together.
While Elizabeth was at preschool this afternoon, Isaac and I had what we hope was our final appointment with our midwife. I'm now dilated to a 3 (sorry if that's too much information) and she stripped my membranes. I knew that would be uncomfortable, which is why I made sure I was alone with Isaac's support during the appointment, but I had no idea HOW painful it would be. Wow. I sure hope it works.
