I don't understand why some runs are great and some runs are torture. It seems that there's no rhyme or reason for it. I did a very hilly 8-mile on Saturday, from our house up Lexington through Como, Roseville, and past 694 into Shoreview. It wasn't too bad! I was very tired because of the hills, but overall I made it. I'm barely even sore.
Today I tried a slow and easy 4-mile along my usual flat route. It was torture. Admittedly I was pushing the jogging stroller, but there was no reason for it to be that bad. Explain that.

Can't explain it, only that I've experienced it too. Running can surprise you - you never know what your body is ready to do until you're out there.
